How to Request Account Deletion
Follow these steps to request deletion of your GroceryTracker Pro account:
Option 1: Through the App (Recommended)
- Open the GroceryTracker Pro app
- Go to your Profile screen
- Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- Follow the prompts to submit your deletion request
- You will receive an email confirmation within 24-48 hours
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your user profile information (name, email, preferences)
- All receipt data and images
- Purchase history and spending analytics
- AI analysis history and insights
- Subscription information
- App usage statistics linked to your account
Data Retention and Processing Timeline
- Processing Time: Account deletion requests are processed within 24-48 hours
- Data Removal: All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
- Backup Removal: Data in backup systems is removed within 90 days
- Analytics Data: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may be retained for service improvement purposes
What Happens After Deletion
- You will receive an email confirmation when deletion is complete
- Your account will be immediately disabled
- You will no longer be able to sign in to the app
- All app functionality will be unavailable
- Any active subscriptions will be cancelled
Before You Delete
Consider these alternatives:
- Export your data: You can request a copy of your data before deletion
- Temporarily disable: Contact us about temporarily suspending your account instead
- Cancel subscription only: Keep your account but cancel any paid subscriptions
